Whether you are just looking to cruise down the street or become the next professional skateboarder, “Getting Started” will get you rolling safe and smooth. As you advance through the steps of mastering the art of skateboarding, 1st Step will be there to assist and guide you every step of the way.

Salman Agah: As Thrasher Magazine’s 1993 Skater of the Year, Salman Agah is legend revolutionizing skateboarding with the introduction of switchstance (riding both ways equal) and was one of the first pro skateboarders to ever have a signature shoe. Salman is also a contributor in the developing of the YMCA Skate Camp instructional curriculum.
Dave Metty: Dave has 20 years of experience on and off the skateboard. As the YMCA Skate Camp Director, he has mentored skaters and has also been the judge for the X-Games, Gravity Games, Vans Triple Crown, and Tampa Pro competition.
